About City Tech
Our mission is to accelerate technology-enabled solutions to make cities happier, healthier, and more productive.
Cities face an array of complex macro problems, including economic development and job creation; flooding, heat emergencies, and other climate related threats; critical public service delivery; and the need to increase equity and accessibility for urban residents. These problems vary greatly based on local considerations and among diverse stakeholders.
We are an urban solutions accelerator that tackles problems too big for any single sector or organization to solve alone.
We create cross-sector teams that develop solutions to global urban challenges. As a member-driven consortium and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we focus on industries that shape urban life. Our current initiatives include mobility, health, infrastructure, and emerging growth opportunities.
Our work uses IoT sensing networks, advanced analytics, and urban design to create scalable, market ready solutions.
We combine the best tools and thinking from our partners to understand complex industry trends, create world-class collaboration, and drive scalable market impact. Our proven approach and methodology help City Tech solutions succeed where other collaborations fall short. City Tech was born and raised in Chicago, and every city is a potential partner.
