City Tech is thrilled to welcome OSF HealthCare as a partner and
expand our ecosystem to include even more organizations that focus on the
holistic wellbeing of communities. OSF and City Tech share the belief that
thoughtful technology innovation can address the challenges of everyday life;
the better we understand those challenges from the perspective of those we serve,
the more likely we are to succeed in solving them. To achieve these goals and increase the impact of its health and wellness
services, OSF HealthCare is partnering with City Tech Collaborative to engage
local partners and residents and inform new models for outreach and community
care for residents of Chicago’s Auburn Gresham and surrounding neighborhoods.
City residents’ health
and wellness is a result of countless interrelated factors and variables, and
needs can vary greatly among neighborhoods. OSF Little Company
of Mary Medical Center (formerly known as Little Company of Mary Hospital
and Health Care) recently joined the OSF HealthCare system; as a vital resource
to the Auburn Gresham community area of Chicago, the OSF team is working to
have a comprehensive understanding of how to best serve its constituents. City
Tech will bring together cross-sector stakeholders including healthcare
providers, community and religious organizations, government and civic
representatives, and local activists to help the OSF team better understand the
unique needs of Auburn Gresham’s 45,000+ residents and the surrounding
communities. These connections will be critical in helping OSF and these
partners establish collaborative, inclusive, and aligned efforts.
Nothing, however, is
more valuable than the first-hand experience of residents. Through
a combination of surveys, focus groups, and interviews, City Tech will gather
feedback on residents’ health and wellness needs, challenges, and experiences
with Little Company of Mary Medical Center and its services. Engaging members
of Chicago’s 1,600+ Civic
User Testing group
(CUTgroup), residents will be able to
directly share their input while also providing critical feedback to the OSF
team.
According to City Tech CEO Brenna
Berman, “I couldn’t be more excited that City Tech is partnering with OSF. Shaping
our work with the input of residents and community organizations will directly
increase the likelihood that any future projects will have positive, lasting
impact.”
